Abstract Given the population's right to education, according to the Constitution of theFederative Republic of Brazil, and the fundamental role of mathematics for the formation ofindividuals, in agreement with the Organisation for Economic Cooperationand Development(OECD), the research project aims to contribute to the scientific dissemination throughWikipedia Research Center Initiative, Innovation and diffusion in Neuromatemática CEPIDNeuroMat with the audio description of probability and statistics entries in Wikipedia. One ofthe potential achievements is to improve the access of probability and statistics formulas topeople with visual impairment. Given also the importance of Assistive Technologies fordigital accessibility, the research project intents to reflect on how the web 2.0 technologiescan boost the dissemination of scientific knowledge among the society. | |
