Abstract

The project aims to evaluate the built environment of a museum located in a relevant historical building and sited in São Paulo city through methods and techniques of Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) addressing a diagnosis that allows an improvement in the relationship between users (visitors, staff and key-personnel), the museum built environment, its useful life and the definition whenever possible and based on performance standards of guidelines for future design readjustment and restoration of old buildings. Therefore, seeks the enhancement of the historical, cultural and social character of the museum as a building placed in the city, and thus the revitalization of the city itself a quality of urban life perspective.
