Abstract

This project has for objective to verify the implications of experiencing the patient roll on simulated practice on the nursing professionals empathy and for specifics objectives 1) Build and validate in appearance and content simulated set of high fidelity using simulated patient, related to elimination's necessities; 2) Identify and compare the nurses' empathy that were submitted to the patient's roll and to the professionals' roll on clinical simulated practice "Nursing's assistance on eliminations necessities". Methodology: Experimental study that will be done with nursing' postgrad (freshman) of Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto - USP, by ethics permission from the same institution. For data collect are going to be used Description Instruments of the subjects built by the researchers and Inventário de Empatia (IE) (FALCONI, 2008) (by permission already got from the author). For the development of the study is going to be build and validated a set of Nursing's assistance on the use of disposable diapers on adults. The set is going to be validated in appearance and content by a group of 5 nurses judges that are not going to be a part of the study. It's going to be considered a level of agreement between the judges 70,0% (GRANT; DAVIS, 1997). The study's data are going to be collected during the realization of a workshop. The workshop is going to be offered in 3 consecutive days and in each date are going to be open 31 vacancies. Are going to be accepted on the activity the firsts 92 students applied. Are going to be included in the study the students that are regular enrolled on postgrad of EERP-USP, freshman of the study's year (2016) that participate of all the workshop' activities. For the data collect the postgrads are going to be divided randomly by raffle in two groups of 16 students. The students are going to work in pairs. Each pair is going to count with one integrant of the control-group (is going to play the professional's roll on the intervention) and one integrant of the intervention-group (is going to play the patient's roll on the intervention). The postgrad participants of the intervention-group are going to be instructed to behave themselves as patients. After the simulated practice of changing the diapers, all the participants are going to answer to a questionnaire of description of the subjects and to the IE. The study's data are going to be analyzed with the SPSS program (version 2.2 for Windows) by the descriptive statistics and by the parametric and non-parametric tests. For all the statistics tests is going to be assumed the critical value of p<0,05. The discussion of the research results is going to be done by substantiation on literature review, pertinent with the objectives that were proposed and introduced as discursive report.
