Abstract

At the beginning of the century, increasingly expands the offensive of capital over labor, driven by the insatiable need for accumulation/reproduction. In Brazil, among the various forms of embodiment of this societal model, we highlight the sugarcane hydroagricultural business that under the fallacious discourse prerogative of national, sustainable development etc., omits many grievances with regard to labor breaches, the health of workers, sustainability, union question, environmental issues among others. The example of the configuration that appears in the Pontal do Paranapanema (SP), which has occupied us in previous studies, highlighting the migration of workers from various regions of the Brazilian Northeast, for manual cutting of the raw material, which has intensified since 2005 but from 2014, is experienced-transition to the mechanized cutting. These technical and occupational changes in the territory of sugarcane hydroagricultural business require that we devote to understanding the diversity in the transition stage/consolidation of manual cutting for machining, now in the 10th Administrative Region of Presidente Prudente.
