Abstract

This research, as part of a larger project which aims to analyze the (re) configuration of the educational/school management area in Brazil after the critical period of the 1980s, covering the theoretical and practical development in the management of school systems and units, aims to analyze how would be the perspective of the Historical-critical Pedagogy in the field of educational management. Therefore, we intend to conduct the content analysis of three books that compose the work of Dermeval Saviani, an acclaimed educator who marks the beginning of such a theory, and explain, from his theoretical proposition, as would be the organization of the work at school, the function and the formation of the school manager. This is an assumption of the theoretical weakness of research in the field of the educational management and also the importance of Historical-critical Pedagogy for Brazilian education.
