Abstract

The palaeontological records of the Solimões Formation (upper Miocene of Acre Basin) have been extensively studied and a rich fauna of vertebrates has been reported in recent decades. But few of these studies have focused on the taphonomic processes that acted in these fossils. The main objective of this work is taphonomic analysis on fossil samples of Solimões Basin for better understanding of the influence of arthropods in preservational processes bioclasts. (AU)
