Abstract

According with desired goal, different training programs can be used. Resistance training interferes on the body fat mass, in regulating metabolism and also in improving cardiovascular capacity. However, questions about the permanence of these changes after a period without training, the detraining, so far is not well elucidated. Phototherapy has been effective in reduce muscle damage and aiding in muscle function recovery process. The aim of this study is investigate the effects of phototherapy in maintaining the acquired gain through the resistance training during the detraining period. Therefore, resistance training will be performed for 12 weeks. It will be evaluated the time until exhaustion through the evaluation of cardiorespiratory fitness. (AU)
