Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The isokinetic dynamometer, considered the gold standard tool for physical evaluation, is widely used in studies that aim to evaluate the reliability and reproducibility of muscular endurance tests (RML). However, these tests may not represent the full RML for fixing time or number of repetitions. Thus, it is understood relevant building a test that respects the real capacity of each subject in supporting fatigue and submit this test to validate and analyze their metabolic profile. OBJECTIVE: verify the inter reliability and intraobserver an isometric muscular endurance test localized fatigue in isokinetic dynamometer and establish the metabolic demand required during the test. METHODS: The study will consist of a sample of 48 participants. In the 1st stage will be checked for interrater reliability and intraobserver isometric muscular endurance test localized fatigue, through test-retest technique, with an interval of seven days between tests. In the 2nd stage will be analyzed metabolic demand required during the test run, which is the identification of energy substrates. The intraclass correlation (ICC) is used to provide an estimate of the level of repeatability. At the end it will be used the Kappa test to obtain the reliability levels with their respective confidence intervals (CI). The analysis of the results obtained in test reliability will be conducted in SPSS and in the case of the normal distribution of the sample, will be adopted parametric statistics. Descriptive statistics will consist of mean values, standard deviation and IC. The correlation Pearson product moment (expressed in values of r) and IC indicates the relationship between the numerical variables and multivariate models are constructed using linear regression (expressed by betas and their respective IC). The statistical significance of 5% in all tests will be adopted. (AU)
