Abstract

Consumption, trafficking and the number of new psychoactive substances (NPS), analogues of illegal drugs of abuse produced in order to circumvent the law, has grown worldwide and concerned government agencies related to public safety. However, this has also been a public health problem, since the synthetic cannabinoids (SC), one of the most relevant NPS groups, have potentiated psychotropic effects compared to the natural cannabinoids from cannabis. In Brazil only nineteen SC were banned, until the publication of the RDC No. 87 (June 28, 2016) ANVISA which included seven distinct cannabimimetic chemical structures, greatly expanding SC list prohibited by law. The compounds of the NBOMe class are also NPS, in this case similar to LSD. In Brazil only eleven NBOMe are prohibited in accordance with the publication of RDC No. 87 (of June 28, 2016) ANVISA. However, existing methods of analysis do not have adequate sensitivity and selectivity to screening all these new CS and NBOMe prohibited by law. Since the need, the objective of this work is to develop a protocol analysis by GC-MS / MS and / or LC-MS / MS in scan mode precursor ion and neutral loss of all classes of cannabimimetic compounds and NBOMe included in previously referenced ANVISA resolution. In this context laboratory analysis it is considered an important part of an effective system against drug trafficking. (AU)
