Abstract

In order to measure the unbalanced voltage in distribution systems, the disequilibrium K factor is generally calculated. However, there are various methods available to calculate this factor. The objective of this paper is to analyze the performance of an electric distribution system in relation to unbalanced voltage, to better understand, characterize, simulate, and quantify the variables involved. In this regard, the initial objective is to perform a bibliographic review of the problem and its main concepts. Subsequently, it is intended to simulate an unbalanced distribution system through recommended software and to analyze the model output of three-phase voltage, by considering the most recurring K factor. Through the analysis, it is expected to better represent the degree of unbalance expressed in the system, to compare the values presented by the methods used, and to propose the most precise and efficient method for the analyzed scenario.
