Abstract

The growing technological advancement and expansion of internet access enabled the phenomenon of globalization to expand in the field of information exchange between various worldwide agents. The digital audiovisual content are part of this level of information that travels across the globe through the World Wide Web. Considering this scenario, this research project aims to investigate the reception of the Japanese audiovisual in Brazil through the web, using the genre most exported by Japan: the animation. The project aim is to investigate how works the mediation of this audiovisual content emanated from Japan in virtual media that is proportionate by the current Participatory Culture (Henry Jenkins, 2009) - interactive relationship involving consumer participation with the various forms of communication - and analyze how the narrative of these cultural content is perceived and re-signified by the Brazilians consumers of such products. The analysis will have as its object the anime Naruto Shippuden distributed in www.animes.zlx.com.br. (AU)
