Abstract

The intervention projects on urban and architectonic structures using conservation, maintenance, reconstruction, demolitions, additions and innovations practices imply on changes on preexisting built and the taking of an early decision can lead to irreparable losses. These interventions requires a bigger capability of interpretation of forms, besides considering the formal and documental aspects of the work. This research focuses on investigate the conception process of urban project and contemporary architectonic, starting from reflections about the intervention of architectonic practices on industrials heritages of preservation interest. Thus, studies the intervention work adopted for Lina Bo Bardi on Jundiaí's Polytheama theather, dated 1986, and on Piracicaba's Engenho's theater, dated 2009 of the architects, their disciples and interns of Brasil Arquitetura's office. Therefore it demands investigate the projectuals fundamentals that were used, using as analytical references, the principals of restoration theory and guidelines of international patrimonial letters to verify the concerns about preservation of the historical and architectonic character of the work. Thus, requires to bring up all the process of the work, since the documentation, interviews with the population and with authors of the project, until on the spot verification of edification and their uses and existing appropriation to analyzes and reflects about the validity of the intervention taken, on examining the projectual criteria, leading to possible designs to similar socioeconomics and cultural contexts to the middle cities of the São Paulo state.
