Abstract The rainforests are ecosystems of greater storage capacity and carbon storage, however the knowledge about the total storage in all compartments like living biomass, dead biomass and soil, are unusual mainly in areas in forest restoration process in Atlantic Forest. In this work, the object is evaluate the effect on carbono storage in differents methodologies of forest restauration in Forest biome Atlantic. Making it necessary to develop or apply methodologies for accurately estimate the total amount of existing carbono existing in different methodologies used in forest restauration. Proposing a evaluate the quantification and carbono storage in living biomass, dead biomass and soil, in total planting methodology, natural regeneration conducted, abandoned áreas with natural regeneration, native forest and pasture. The experiment will be installed on Jequitibá, Capoava and Ingazinho farms, located in Itu, a city of São Paulo state. It will be delimited areas of the region, with different forest restoration strategies. The methodologies will be the total planting methodology, areas of natural regenaration conduced, also abandoned areas with natural regeneration, pasture and native fragments. They will quantify the storage carbono in the soil, also evaluating the amount of isotopes, the storage in dead biomass above ground is divided into fallen, standing and litter. The storage in living biomass will be quantified below ground, containing coarse and fine roots, and above ground by the destructive method. A the forest inventory of the regions will be accomplished and for statistical analysis of the data, using the software R. (AU) | |
