Abstract

This Project aims at analyzing the process of intermodal transmodalization of the aria Habanera, in Bizet's opera Carmen (1875) to Stromae's videoclip Carmen (2015). The project will have as a basis for its theoretical framework the concepts of textual genre, as expressed by Bakhtin (2010), Koch and Elias (2012) and Marcuschi (2008); multimodality, as formulated by Dionisio (2010), Lebrun, Lacelle and Butin (2010); intermodal transmodalization, based on Genette (1982) and intermediality, as presented by Gaudrault e Marion (2012). The works by Tatit (1997) and Valente (2003) on arias and songs will be used while the studies by Muanis (2012) and Machado (1988) will serve as a reference for the analysis of the video clip. (AU)
