Abstract The main goal of this project is to contribute to the formation of an undergraduate student in the context of presenting to the student an updated view on planetary formation theories. The number of exoplanets confirmed today is larger than 2000. These new exoplanetary systems are providing a variety of new constraints to theoretical models which 10 or 20 years ago were only offered by our solar system. These new constraints have not only challenged but also reinvigorated our understanding of planet formation and sed light to how the Earth and also the solar system may have formed. The development of this project involves the understanding of the key aspects of planet formation, dynamical evolution and stability of planetary systems. (AU) | |
