This research aims at reading, transcribing and making a semidiplomatic edition of Portuguese manuscripts documents between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, part of the period known Middle Portuguese. The main objective is to contribute to the studies of Portuguese language history through trustworthy source production, and analysis of the state of the language depicted by such manuscripts. It's a philological research with a historical-linguistic bias which fits into the projects Fontes para a História da Língua Portuguesa:edição de manuscritos dos períodos médio e clássico e História do Português Paulista, both of them developed in the University of São Paulo. We expect to find results that can be compared with those already existent in order to increase the availability of studying material about Middle Portuguese, in addition to the contribution to periodization of Portuguese language.
