Abstract

The malignant neoplasm of corpus uteri is one of the most common types of gynecological cancer. Its incidence is higher and increasing, and is associated with obesity, sedentary lifestyle and age. The malignant neoplasm of corpus uteri has two main categories: carcinomas (95%) and sarcomas (5%). There is no current information about this type of cancer in Brazil, and the Women's Health Hospital, CAISM at Unicamp, a regional reference to SUS to care women with cancer, has an official system of Hospital-Based Cancer Registries (HCR), working since 2000. This study aims to characterize a temporal overview on the number of cases diagnosed with malignant neoplasm of corpus uteri from 2000 to 2014 at Women's Health Hospital, CAISM/Unicamp, and some epidemiological and clinical features. A cross sectional descriptive study with retrospective data from HCR data bank of CAISM will be done. The CID-O, date of diagnosis, age, staging and histopathological type will be evaluated. The data will be analyzed through descriptive statistics, Fisher test or chi-square ad T Student test, and calculated annual frequencies of diagnosis, annual average age, frequencies by cancer stage and histopathological type, with p <0.05 for statistical significance. The longitudinal pattern frequency and trends (increase or decrease) of the diagnoses registered in the period 2000 to 2014, will be evaluated through simple linear regression and cumulative frequency curves build sectional descriptive study with retrospective data from HCR data bank of CAISM will be done. The CID-O, date of diagnosis, age, staging and histopathological type will be evaluated. The data will be analyzed through descriptive statistics, Fisher test or chi-square ad T Student test, and calculated annual rates of diagnosis, annual average age, rates by cancer stage and histopathological type, with p <0.05 for statistical significance. The longitudinal pattern rates and trends (increase or decrease) of the diagnoses registered in the period 2000 to 2014, will be evaluated through simple linear regression and cumulative frequency curves build.
