Abstract

The post-doc proposal focuses in the continuing the development and application of a methodology recently put forth by LaDABio, with collaboration of COPPE-UFRJ and DTu-Lyngby. This approach seeks to integrate the development of processes, in every step and scales, to the Techno-Economic Analysis of the integrated industrial plant. The approach (Retro-Techno-Economic Analysis), unpublished for the best of our knowledge, was recently published by Furlan et al., 2016a. This methodology "turns the problem upside down", integrating economic metrics to the equations of the mathematical models of the process, all simultaneously solved by an equation-oriented simulator (EMSO will be this simulator, see Furlan et al., 2012, 2014). The post-doctorate fellow will initially apply this methodology to some of the processes/products studied by the different labs of this Thematic Project.
