Abstract

In this project we propose to characterize confluent cultures of keratinocytes co-cultured with melanoma cells to test the hypothesis that the presence of tumor cells will modify the cytoskeletal arrangement of neighboring normal epithelial cells. For this purpose the atomic force microscopy associated with mapping of mechanical properties of the cell surfaces will be used. (AU)
