Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate restorative systems according to the: (1) polymerization stress resulted from the shrinkage of the restorative material during its light-activation, (2) bond strength (RU) to the dentin by the microtensile test, (3) internal adaptation of the material in class I cavities (4) microhardness at different depths from the occlusal surface in class I cavities and (5) biaxial flexural strength and modulus of restorative materials. These restorative systems comprise the restorative material and its corresponding adhesive system, following five resin-based materials called low-shrikage and indicated for single increment application (Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill/Ivoclar Vivadent; Opus Bulk Fill/FGM, Fill-Up!/Coltene, Equia Forte Fill/GC Corp. and Activa BioActive Restorative/Pulpdent) and a traditional composite resin that is used with incremental placement (Filtek Z350 XT/3M ESPE) (control group). Specimens will be prepared according to each methodology and for the bond strength test, the specimens will be evaluated after 1 week and 1 year of storage. The results will be tabulated and submitted to statistical analysis for the comparison of the results between the experimental groups. (AU) | |
