Abstract

The increase of chemical processes friendly to the environment led to the use of Green Chemistry protocols. The use of microwave radiation is established as an important technology for the production of compounds that can serve as intermediates in synthetic organic chemistry. The use of this technology facilitates the obtaining of products with high yields in less time of reaction and generating little waste. In this work it is proposed the synthesis of chromenes from Knoevenagel adducts via microwave radiation. Initially the chromenes will be synthesized, which are compounds that are important in the medicinal area, since they can later be applied in biological studies. In the final step, a protocol is proposed to obtain enantiomerically pure or enriched chromenes by the use of CAL-B. Thus, in this project will be realized obtaining chromenos according to the principles of Green Chemistry, aiming at different synthetic and biological applications. (AU)
