Abstract

Considering the discussions carried out in the recently completed master's research Editorial mediation in scientific communication: a study of two humanities journals, funded by FAPESP (process n. 2015/01224-5), we propose in this research project a study that advances the investigated issue, focusing on a fundamental problem of the current period: the constitution of authorship in scientific communication. In order to do this, we delimit as a corpus the journals of the Institute of Brazilian Studies, Rieb, the Graduate Program in Geography of the FFLCH-USP, Geousp: espaço e tempo, the Department of Materials Engineering of UFSCar, Materials Research, and The Brazilian Association of Ceramics, Cerâmica Industrial. Based on the theoretical framework of french line discourse analysis, our objective is to examine the determinants of authorship of scientific papers in different areas of knowledge, taking into account the author and co-publisher relationship in the editorial genetic rites (SALGADO, 2011), supported on a methodological proposal of analysis in which the place of the author is defined as paratopic creating (MAINGUENEAU, 2006).
