Abstract

Construction and civil waste (RCC) accounts for about 51% to 70% of urban solid waste, which has been a source of worldwide concern for environmental, economic and social problems. The 2015 generation in Brazil, declared by the municipalities, was 3 million tons (SNIS, 2016). One of the alternatives to mitigate the disposal of these wastes is to treat them in the form of recycled aggregates, since there are already standards and research that guarantee their application. The recycled aggregates can be classified into four classes, each with its own characteristics of the components. One of these classes covers reusable or recyclable waste as aggregates, which can be applied in the construction of layers of pavement, since the road sector uses significant amounts of both large and small materials. Thus, the objective of this research is to study the mechanical behavior of the incorporation of the recycled aggregate of concrete from the Transshipment and Sorting Area of the municipality of São José dos Campos, SP, aiming at its use in base and sub-base layers or subgrade reinforcement Replacing conventional materials.
