Abstract

Brazil and Argentina are shared between many similarities and differences. The main similarity can be understood in terms of the process of colonization by European countries and its consequences in terms of territorial formation. Similarly, it is observed in these two countries the expansion of transnational corporations developments in the context of the globalization. In response to this process of domination, it is observed both in Brazil and in Argentina experiences of mobilization and cultural resistances, economic and social,approaching social movements by common causes such as housing, land, water, health, etc. By approximating La Via Campesina we intend to analyze the similarities and differences in sociospatial formation of the two countries considering to health promotion practices in the peasant community at Cuyo (Argentina) and Paraíba (Brazil), Thus, the senses and the concepts of health of rural communities will be analyzed, with a view to understanding the fullness of life (in this case study health is not thinking about the disease). Such a perspective results in the importance of the junction of two important fields of geography, the rural and health, for the construction of new possibilities, among them, we intend to support the comparative method, from the readings of Geography Critical and research approaches qualitative, especially the oral history related a good fight to improve health.
