Abstract This research project has as its focus the speeches delivered by MPLA (Agostinho Neto and José Eduardo dos Santos) and UNITA (Jonas Savimbi) leaders, during the civil war in Angola (1975-2002), seeking to observe the means of designation of themselves and others employed by them. The objective is to carry out, through publications and audiovisual materials, an analysis of the acts of accusation in which the opponent is portrayed as continuador of the colonial system by using reproduction of distinctions of race, ethnicity, regionality and/or status. It seeks to study these discourses comparatively, articulating the moments of discursive inflection observed in them to the socio-political transformations in the context of the civil war in Angola. Having as a background the way in which subjects are constructed through different practices and experiences, this research hopes to contribute to the debate through an in-depth investigation into a context of political disputes based on colonialism where, through discourse, are established positions and differentiation.(AU) | |
