Abstract

The herbicides used in the crop may suffer interference due to the increase of the organic matter due to the application of vinasse and filter cake in two different ways: one is the prolongation of the herbicide durability in the soil and the other is the increase of the degradation of the herbicide (due to microorganisms). In addition, these residues may also affect the rate of weed germination. The objectives of this project are: to evaluate if the vinasse and the filter cake can influence the efficacy of indaziflan and saflufenacil in the control of weeds; And verify if there is influence of these residues on the germination rate of weeds Ipomea triloba and Digitaria horizontalis. The work will be divided in two parts, in the first part will be evaluated the effect of vinasse and filter cake on the effectiveness of saflufenacil herbicides in the control of I. triloba and indaziflan in the control of D. horizontalis, in an experiment with a completely randomized experimental design, in a factorial scheme for each herbicide of 3 x 2, being 3 doses (D, 1 / 2D and 2D - being D = commercial dose) and 2 different residues applied to soil (filter cake and vinasse), besides the control without residue, with four replicates. The percentage of weed control and shoot biomass production will be evaluated. In the second experiment, the influence of different doses of vinasse and filter cake on the germination rate of I. triloba and D. horizontalis will be observed. The experiment will be performed with the addition of 3 doses of vinasse (to be calculated) and 3 doses of filter cake (equivalent to 20, 40 and 50 t ha-1) in addition to control without residues. The seeds of I. triloba and D. horizontalis will be sown in order to obtain 25 plants per pot with four replications. The rate of emergence speed and the germination rate will be analyzed up to 42 days after sowing. (AU)
