Abstract

Architectural heritages are witnesses to periods in which cities, and societies live. Industrial Heritage's preservation should be valued, particularly in Sao Paulo's inner- state cities, where exemplars of industrials' firsts phases still remain, and find themselves in a worrying state of conservations. The city of Limeira was, in the first decades of the 20th century, one of the biggest industrials hubs of the state, and to this day it is noticeable the influence and presence of the factory buildings.Thus, this scientific initiation research aims to recognize and identify the still remaining industrial heritages, from the elaboration of heritage files, aiming to contribute to the safeguarding of th still remaining Industrial Heritage's material witnesses, in a chosen area that contemplates the railway's presence and its surroundings, which was occupied by factories plots. This research may also aid as a source, in means that aim to identify local building's history, as well as help subsidize its preservation, possible restorations, and setting's activation, always regarding their current atmosphere, and the traces of times gone by in the buildingsThus, this scientific initiation research aims to recognize and identify the still remaining industrial heritages, in a chosen area that contemplates the railway's presence and its surroundings, which was occupied by factories plots.
