Abstract

The main objective of this project is to study new reactions involving isoxazol-5-ones as key building blocks. More specifically, metal- and organocatalyzed reactions will be investigated with the objective of preparing a series of important organic molecules, such as pyridines, ketones and isoxazoles. In addition, the chemistry of benzyne will be investigated using isoxazolones as precursors. (AU)
