Abstract

It means to approach initially Hegel's criticism of Jacobi's conception of knowledge in the Encyclopedia of the Philosophical Sciences, since it disregards the conceptual development for the constitution of knowledge. In addition, it seeks to gain a deeper understanding of Jacobi's philosophy, especially of notions that are important to Hegel's critique, such as belief, immediate knowledge and absolute. Finally, in a comparative perspective, there is the objective of investigating the Hegelian conception of philosophy, as presented in the Encyclopedia, in relation to the jacobian vision of philosophy and of what constitutes its task.
