Abstract

This project intends to implement a computer system that scans a tridimensional teeth mold using a conventional camera and a rotational platform. The research consists in 3 steps. The camera calibration, when the adjusting classes will be implemented; several point clouds are acquired; at last, the surface reconstruction using signed distance map and marching cubes. It is expected to obtain a virtual replica of a patient's teeth. After developing the software, the maximum accuracy and precision of the virtual model will be tested.
