Objective: The objective of this project of Scientific Initiation is to apply the ECLiPS questionnaire and evaluate three groups of children: (1) children with typical development; (2) children with APD and (3) children with suspected of APD, but with normal behavioral assessment. This project of Scientific Initiation is part of an umbrella project, which aims to translate and adapt to Brazilian Portuguese the ECLiPS questionnaire. Method: The first stage of the project (translation and adaptation of the questionnaire) will be conducted by a post graduation student (Master's degree) (a separate project) and the second stage will be conducted by students of scientific initiation and consists in the application of the questionnaire in the parents. The document has 37 items, with 5 subfactors: (1) Auditory and speech processing, (2) Environmental and auditory sensitivity, (3) Language/literacy/ laterality, (4) Memory and attention, and (5) Pragmatics and social skills. Parents will indicate a 5-point scale on how much they are agreeing or disagreeing with as stated statements. The scores of items within each factor are staggered and calculated according to age and gender. After an application of the questionnaire, the children will pass through an Auditory Processing screening to participate in the research. An auditory processing triage will consist of three tests: 1-Compressed Speech Test (TFC); 2-Temporal masking; 3- Dichotic Digits Test (TDD); 4- GIN test (noise gaps) proposed by Musiek et al. (2005). Results: The results of the tests will be analyzed and then compared with those obtained with ECLiPS questionnaire. Finally, the data obtained will be tabulated and analyzed statistically.
