Abstract The goal of this project is to address some questions in the intersection between quantum field theory, holography and quantum information theory. The main theme leading our research proposal is how a local effective field theory of gravity in anti-de Sitter (AdS) space can emerge from data of the conformal field theory defined on the boundary of AdS, known as the bulk reconstruction problem. We intend to use tools of quantum information to enlighten some aspects of this program, such as: how much information is needed from the conformal field theory in order to reconstruct spacetime? What are the exact limits of the perturbative approach to this problem? Is it possible to reconstruct black holes dual to mixed states? The answers to these questions are essential to develop the precise procedure in reconstructing spacetime geometry and eventually understand the interior of black holes. | |
