Abstract

The objective of this project is to investigate non-radial oscillations of hybrid compact stars taking into account the role of rapid and slow phase conversions at the quark-hadron interface. We will focus first on calculations within the Cowling approximation, and then we will employ the full set of relativistic equations governing the quasi-normal modes of static compact stars. We will try to identify potentially observable features that can be associated with the gravitational wave emission of compact stars. (AU)
