Abstract

The project aims to study the relationship between city and public space, focusing on public parks, within the urban context of medium cities, paying particular attention to the processes of segregation and socio-spatial fragmentation present in Brazilian cities. The object of study is the case of the Ecological Park of Rio Verde, a leisure structure located in a requalified area in the southwest of the city of Rio Verde - GO. The study of this public park must take into account the requirements that, according to Brandão (2011), prove (or not) the quality of the space (AU)
