Abstract

This project aims to modelling data obtained from cave monitoring in Brazil in order to calibrate and improve the interpretations of the speleothem proxies utilized in paleoclimate reconstructions. This project also aims to characterize the karst behavior in relationship to climate and environmental changes, as well, to test new proxies for paleoclimate reconstruction. Will be utilized simulation models as Isotope Evolution model (ISOLUTION-model) developed by the Dr. Michael Denninger and Dr. Denis Scholz, which will be partners of this research project. (AU)
