Abstract

Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya virus are transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito, showing similar symptoms and high rates of morbidity, resulting an important problem of public health. The aim of this research is evaluate the knowledge of undergraduate students in Nursing and Medicine on dengue, Zika and Chikungunya. This research has information: descriptive, exploratory and quantitative. This study will be developed in São Carlos county and the population will be composed for final year undergraduate in Nursing and Medicine courses from a Public Institution of undergraduate students in 2018. The information obtained will be through a structured interview, using a form, according to Protocols of the Ministry of Health on dengue, Zika and Chikungunya. The data will be collected after acceptance by the Ethics Committee in Research and signing of the Informed Consent Term by the participant. Statistic analyze of data will be through of Sigma Stat® software (version 2.03). The variables will be analyzed by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to verify the normality of the data. For the variables that present non-normal distribution or non-homogeneous variance, the comparison between the two groups will be performed applying the non-parametric Mann Whitney test. The proportions will be compared by Chi-square test (p2) or Fisher's exact test, differences smaller than 5% (p <0.05) will be considered statistically significant. (AU)
