Abstract

This research aims to access a fundamental bibliography in order to develop the ongoing Master's dissertation titled "Mallarmé in the space of an art of time: painting, music and poetry in two translations". During the internship, the main goal is to read: 1) books about the relations between painting, music and letters in Mallarmé's works; 2) studies concerning the poet's critic prose; 3) four French (re)translations of "The Impressionists and Édouard Manet". The work in Paris will draw on the collections of Bibliothèque de la Sorbonne, Bibliothèque Nationale de France and Bibliothèque Jacques Doucet, while the institution chosen is the worldly renown Sorbonne Université (Paris IV) (under Mr. Bertrand Marchal's supervision).
