Abstract

Obesity is a chronic disease of great relevance in public health causing secondary metabolic diseases. Studies demonstrate correlation between subclinical hypothyroidism and metabolic Yahoo in the spleen, kidneys and in the thyroid gland with obesity, which can provoke morphological in these organs. The association of swimming and antioxidants on splenic, renal and thyroid morphology has been poorly investigated. On the other hand, this study intends to evaluate histomorphometric studies in the spleen, kidney and thyroid in Wistar rats that will receive a hypercaloric diet and to verify if aerobic physical exercise and supplementation with anthocyanins assist in the maintenance of the splenic, renal and thyroid gland architecture in rats submitted to the highly energetic diet. For the total of 96 rats and distributed in eight experimental groups of 12 animals each consisting of: control group (normocaloric diet) (DN); hypercaloric diet (DH); normocaloric diet and anthocyanins (DNA); hypercaloric diet and anthocyanins (DHA); normocaloric diet and swimming (DNn); hypercaloric diet and swimming (DHn); hypercaloric diet, swimming and anthocyanins (DHnA); and normocaloric diet, swimming and anthocyanins (DNnA). At the end of the experimental period, the animals are weighed and submitted to euthanasia. The spleen, kidney and thyroid will be dissected and will be heavy. Then, the organs will be sampled and preserved in Bouin for further histological and morphometric analysis. It is intended, with a current research, to investigate as anthocyanins allied to the practice of swimming, as well as the maintenance of the cellular area of the spleen, kidney and thyroid.
