Abstract

The occupation of rural territories in Colombia such as in other Latin American countries, led to favor the land concentration and the emergence of territorial disputes and permanent conflictivity. More than four decades of internal armed conflict have caused agrarian changes in the forms of use and concentration of rural territories, favoring landowners, illegal armed groups, politicians and drug dealers to the detriment of the peasant. Recently, with the emergence of transitional justice initiatives, has been started the process to finish these periods of violence and restoring peasants' rights over their territories, such as is the case of the Law of Victims and Land Restitution. This research is focused on the analyses of the territorialities of the Cedro Cocido farm, localized in the village El Tronco-Leticia, Córdoba, northwest coast of Colombia, that was appropriated by paramilitary groups through the use of violence against peasants since the 1990s, and currently is object of restitution process. We will analyze the forms of use and concentration of rural territories that have been expressed in the territorial disputes processes, considering the relations of power and the new opportunities and perspectives that the post-conflict represents for the peasantry (AU)
