Abstract

This research project reflects the productions and discussions of researchers and students of the group: "Theory and Practice on the teaching of restoration project of cultural and architectural plans", related to the GCOR - Unicamp Architecture¹. Its assumption is that the growing studies diffusion about the importance of the already-built historical heritage, and the resulting expansion of public policies for its preservation in our country, they all have been requiring specific knowledge from the students and professors of different areas about methods and practices that support the preservation activities of urban and architectural preexistences, old or new; a cross-curricular range of work by its nature. To what extent preserve and renew and how to establish relations between these two different tendencies are questions that concern the research and the improvement of professional practices of the Architecture and Urbanism course egresses. In this perspective, the research will be developed in the Politecnico di Torino (POLITO), an italian university in which the AU course from FEC-Unicamp established a recent agreement of a double degree that has strengthened the international tradition in preservation studies related to Project practices. A special attention will be given to the Laurea Magistrale in Architettura per il Restauro e la Valorizzazione del Patrimonio course that maintains the quality of specialized education with the proper role model of teaching when it comes to rating the characteristics of interaction among history, plans and technic subjects and the course practice reversal and final exercises of the Project. The post-doctoral internship targets, more than that, to strengthen and intensify the academic research orientations and collaborations already on the run with teachers of the restoration area of the Dipartimento di Architettura e Design (DAD) in the same institution.Key words: retrospective technic, architecture preservation, conservation and restoration, restoration projects, project practices.
