Abstract

The concept of cultural competence has already been studied by several specialties within the healthcare systems. The SLP is the professional trained to assist the language skills of patients, this is of great importance when considering cultural aspects. Getting to know other cultures is important to SLP and students because it opens up their minds to different situations.
