Abstract

Emergencies and re-emergencies of diseases are caused by natural phenomena and human intervention, which combined cause environmental changes and ecological disturbances and are thus important factors in the emergence of diseases. The interaction of humans and domestic animals with wild animals is increasing due to population growth. Thus, there is an increase in the transmission of zoonoses. Many wild animals of various species have been identified as important in the adaptive evolutionary process of some microorganisms. The use of wild animals in research is restricted by factors such as extinction, for that reason, the use of animals killed by trampling is an alternative for research. The goals of the present work are: to evaluate, through Molecular Biology techniques such as PCR and Nested-PCR, the occurrence of microorganisms that cause diseases of public health interest in rodent killed by trampling in the state of Minas Gerais and identify the most affected animal species.
