Abstract

This work intends to use a formulation of the Finite Element Method (MEF) for three-dimensional analysis of structures of multi-story buildings in first order theory, determining the efforts and displacements when subjected to lateral and vertical actions. It is intended to elaborate the calculation routines for the evaluation of instability parameters that are included in Technical Standard NBR6118/2014 referring to structures of tall buildings of reinforced concrete. The purpose of this work is to analyze some influences of the structural stiffness characteristics in the mentioned parameters, to mention, ± and ³Z, in the global behavior of the structure and in the distribution of the efforts in the structural elements of the building.
