Abstract

The efficient processing to discover knowledge from the increasing volume of information is one of the biggest challenges related to Computer Science nowadays in both industry and academia. In addition to being time- and memory-efficient, this processing shall present reliability regarding the discovered knowledge, since strategical decisions in a company and conclusion of scientific research are commonly based on these overcomes. Machine Learning (ML) is one of the most widely used approaches to transform information in knowledge. The central goal of this work is studying different ML platforms, intending to answer several research questions regarding their characteristics, functionalities, and limitations.
