Associated to the scholarship:18/08064-1 - Representations and discourses about the Cyclades islands and Paros: a parallel between the textual sources and materiality in archaic and classical period, BP.IC

This project, as part of a main undergraduate research , proposes the realization of an in loco study of the remains of the ancient polis of Paros, the Koukounaries site, the built environment of the island and the treasury at Delos. Besides that, it proposes to gather enough bibliography for the full realization of our research. The internship is to be accomplished in the École Française d'Athènes (The French School of Athens). Therefore, the investigation concerning the production of the main Parian constructions of the archaic and classical periods and its spatial recognition will allow us to better work within the Built Environment concept, used in our main research and will help us to better understand the dynamics with the Athenian and Persian power. Also, it will allow insights into signs of richness and poverty. Moreover, the experience in this traditional archaeological school in Athens, the access of the most updated and revised bibliography and the collecting of updated data will bring a whole enrichment to our research.
