Abstract

This work aims to design, fabricate and characterize thin film heaters and thermocouples optimized to form an integrated test platform for heat sinks based on microchannels. These heat sinks integrated into the test platform are one of the study topics of the thematic project entitled "High Performance Phase Shift Heat Transfer Processes Applied to Solar Energy". This thematic project, in particular, involves technologies that relate the conversion of solar energy to heat, focusing on the use of high-performance irradiation receivers. For the tests of these heat sinks, it is essential to have a platform integrating a heat source and a set of temperature gauges that allow to obtain the temperature map generated by the heat source and to monitor the variation of that temperature map with the influence of heat sinks. Therefore,this scientific initiation work should support the design of this test platform, focusing on the identification of the available micro and nano manufacturing methods, the materials that can be used for the components of the platform (heater and thermocouples), as well as the design, fabrication and characterization of these components.
