Abstract

Speech Sound Disorder is one of the most frequent speech disorder in the pediatric population however information that supports and helps the choice of method of intervention and frequency of intervention are yet scarce. The present study aims to provide evidence about the effect of session frequency in Speech Sound Disorder intervention using the Phonological Stimulation Program (PSP), created by Silva (2015). 8 children of both genders, aged 5:00 to 8:11 years will participate in the study, the children will be randomly allocated in two groups, with 4 children each, both groups will be submitted to the PSP, that predicts 12 intervention sessions with the duration of 50 minutes, however group 1 will receive weekly intervention and group 2 will receive intervention twice a week.
