Abstract

The geological characterization of a geosite is a fundamental part in the achievement of geoconservation measures and in the dissemination of geodiversity. The Geosite Boudins of the Camburizinho Tômbolo is part of the inventory of the geological heritage of the state of São Paulo and of the north coast of the state of São Paulo and has an immense scientific and educational potential, showing more detailed studies for its geological characterization, evidencing its importance in the context of the geological evolution not only of the coast, but also of all Brazilian territory. Brazil has advanced in the researches of the geodiversity scope, but it is still a subject that needs more visibility, since it is related to the conservation of the natural heritage of the country and its relation with the scientific dissemination to the society. The use of geospatial technologies for geoscientific characterization is a new and very useful method both for geoscientific use and to contribute to measures of geocommunication and valorization, and must be approached to have developments in geoconservation research. This research project aims to characterize in a detailed way the geological features of this geosite and to use geotechnologies from VANT images in order to generate content that will be available in interactive media, and to construct material for geosite valuation, as well as for the progress of this area in Brazil.
