Abstract

Technological advances for gait restoration as well as physical activity and sports hardly reach disabled people. Aiming such goals, biomedical devices and data are to be disseminated. Upper and lower limb loading will be modelled for performance improvement and safety. Clinical outcomes from the effects of physical activities on bone desintometry, bioimpedance. syringomyelia, spasticity, cardiovascular and autonomic disreflexia will be raised and displayed, through data gathering and cloud computing. Software platforms and apps for the wheelchair population, for instance, amputees in the Netherlands and spinal cord injured subjects in Brazil and vice versa, containing data on physiology and functionality, currently not available, will be generated for the community, companies, private and public hospitals.
