Abstract

Manufacturing digitalization is one of the main pillars of Industry 4.0. This method assures safety and reliability in manufacturing projects, allowing analysis and simulations of improvements, without causing losses and losses for companies. Thus, the objective of this research is to propose guidelines for optimizing the operational and economic performance of a productive process of the Brazilian aeronautical industry. In order to achieve this objective, a case study will be carried out, with on-site visits to explore the manufacturing environment, interviewing, document analysis and data collection on the productive process under study. Next, modeling and simulation of this process will be carried out using the Siemens software TecnomatixTM, aiming to evaluate the operational and economic performance and apply Lean Production techniques and tools in this process. These empirical results will serve as a basis for the generation of scenarios with proposals for improvements in the manufacturing of the company, to increase the competitiveness of the aeronautics sector in the Brazilian and international markets.
